An introduction to yoga

Beginning yoga is easy. Whatever your age or physical condition you can embark on a yoga practice today and gain some instant benefits, such as lift your mood and energy level, a feeling of calmness and relaxation, and a better night's sleep. Yoga encourages self-discipline and awareness gaining the ability to relax both body and mind through asanas (postures), pranayama (breathing), relaxation and meditation.

You do not need any particular beliefs to do yoga, nor do you need any special equipment. Yoga is essentially a process of self -awareness, - observation and - realisation.
