A typical yoga class

A typical yoga class would include a balanced group of asanas (postures) and physical exercises that stretch and flex the body, allowing the muscles to let go of any built up tension, using the breath to focus the mind.

This will improve flexibility, strength and stamina with regular practice. A period of deep relaxation is incorporated in to every class which improves concentration and helps calm the mind relieving tension and stress.

Body awareness

Classes would focus on body awareness and connection to the breath with the practice of asanas (postures) incorporating teaching points to encourage correct alignment of the body. Working with emphasis on alignment can strengthen the body and help restore balance to both body and mind.

A combination of the traditional static asana approach is used together with both gentle and dynamic flows. Breathing awareness is incorporated often in synchronisation with our posture work and relaxation for both body and mind.

  • Mixed ability class 8:00-9:00pm

£12 per session

All classes are Hatha Yoga and are taught by a qualified British Wheel of Yoga experienced teacher.

Private tuition

A 1-2-1 session may be ideal for you. It could be an introduction for you, if you were a beginner and didn't feel like joining a bigger group without a bit more experience or it could be for developing a practice that relaxes you.

It could be to help build up core strength, or to become more supple, or developing your personal practice. If there is enough room I am more than happy to teach two of you at the same time. The focus is on you and what you would like to get from your yoga practice.

Yoga for pregnancy

Private sessions to help with the changing aspects of pregnancy on the body together with breathing techniques to aid with birthing and relaxation. Yoga for pregnancy is recommended from 14 weeks onward. If there is enough space in your home I am more than happy to teach two of you at the same time.
